Sources:
1--A Susie Soldevila emailed me in 2003 about a family Bible belonging to the above couple.  I posted the email to what was then my "Gwin page" so visitors could see it, and it stayed there for ten years.  I hope the old Bible got into the hands of the couple's descendants.  Today I saw the email again and started this page, realizing that there just might be enough data there to make a decent stab at finding the couple and perhaps see if they were related to me!

I was in an antique shop the other day in Grand Prairie, Texas, and came across a family Bible which was given to Horace and Zoie Gwin (both were born in Georgia) on their wedding day Sept. 6, 1894, by his father, Thomas Benjamin Gwin. 
 
I have been doing genealogy research for 30 years, and it broke my heart to see such an old family heirloom full of history being sold at an antique store.  I have been searching for any family related to Horace and Zoie.  The Bible was sold to the owner of the store by a Mr. Gilmore who was a descendent of the Gwins (I found his name in the Bible). 
 
If you know of any descendents of this family, please contact me.  The gentlemen at the shop is asking $110 for the Bible.  I would be more than happy to help get this Bible into the hands of Horace and Zoie's descendents.
