Over 50 of us went to SUMMER CONFERENCE  2009!
The "conference" part was the three sessions on Saturday and was open to everyone who wanted some good insights on walking with God and discipling Christians, especially in the later years.  The theme was "Staying in the Battle Down the Stretch".  The "reunion" parts were Friday evening, the Saturday luncheons, and Sunday afternoon and were more for those who were involved in Nav ministries at NMSU over the years.

I'm glad to hear about this reunion.  The plans sound exciting. School here in Japan will still be in full swing during the reunion dates, so I will not be able to attend.  God's richest blessings to you and all the participants, even to those who cannot attend.  You are in my prayers.  You and the NMSU Navs made a great impact on me.  Maybe I can re-kindle some of your vision as I hear of details from this event.  In His strong love, as we celebrate this Easter season, your brother in Christ, Bill

I am sorry to say that some things have come up and I may not be able to make it to the Friday activities. I will be there on Saturday (and most likely on Sunday) however. June had to leave town on a business trip andwill not be in town until Saturday afternoon. So, she may miss the whole event or she may join us late Saturday.  Mike DeAntonio

I am sorry to have to tell you that we have had a conflict come up and will not be able to join you all at the reunion after all!  We were looking forward to seeing all of you and are very disappointed.  Lee and I are going on a mission trip to Mongolia August 2nd and the details of preparing for that trip, and squeezing in a family trip left us with too few weekends.  If you could include us in your prayer time, we would sure appreciate it. A team of seven of us from Crossroads Bible Church will be in Mongolia for the Christian Missionary Alliance annual Missionary conference. We will provide the speaker, music and child care for the week.  We also plan to assemble some playground equipment at their mission school in Darhan.  The Pickerings know some of the families that will be there.  I know the NMSU conference will be a wonderful blessing to all who attend.

We will not be able to make the reunion this year.  We just returned from Tulsa this afternoon where my daughter had major surgery on her shoulder.  It will take a month for the surgery to heal and then six weeks of physical therapy.  Hoping it will be a great conference.  Please pass on my regrets to everyone.  In His Grace, Gary Heien

John, I went on your website and discovered that I had the wrong dates in mind.  When I saw that it was the weekend after our trip to Branson and the agenda and attendees, I decided I would try to make it.  Laura will not be able to.  I think I can find a place to stay.  Hope it works out. Michele and I would love to come and be with you, but we had to be in Las Cruces for a wedding last weekend and just won't be able to make it again anytime soon.  I would love to be there with you but it hasn't worked out to do so.  Lord willing it will in the future. Have a great conference and time together.  In Christ, Gary

Sorry that we can't come to the Nav reunion but, Lord willing, we are planning to make a trip next year that will bring us through Las Cruces.  Next year is our 40th wedding anniversary and we want to combine several kinds of trips.  CRM, our mission, is having its world conference in Malaysia, July 2010, that we will have to attend and we are trying to figure out how we can come through Las Cruces when we go on that trip.  Please give our regards to everyone we know at the reunion.  May everyone have a blessed and joyous time.  Looking forward to seeing and reading all about it.   Cos
