INTRODUCTION
Today Amanda sent me much of what she has on her own line, beginning with herself and her late father, Kenneth Gwin (who is NOT my Indiana friend Kenneth Gwin who descends from Captain Isum Gwin, b. 1826 in Indiana).  I am beginning here to transfer her work to this page as I confirm and document it.  Based on the ages of her dad and herself, I am for now assigning Amanda to generation 29 and Kenneth to generation 28.

SOME GOOD COMMUNICATION

7 Jun 2023

Hi John!
I am sending you pics I took from Family Search which includes my Gwin line as far as I know.

I do know John Wesley Gwin was my great-great grandfather. (My uncle, Phil Gwin, has his photo in his possession and knows it to be true)

On Family Search though, right now it doesn't show all the kids from my dad's family (my dad was Kenneth Gwin and I have spoken to his brother, my uncle Phil, about a lot of this.)

Beyond John Wesley Gwin, I think my uncle Phil may have said John Edgar Gwin was correct.

Family Search shows John Edgar Gwin's father as Ezekiel Gwin but it doesn't go back further than that for him.

It will be fun to see how we are related! My Gwin side is something that has been a little mystery not being able to trace too far.
Family Search on my mom's side however, traces me back to Sir Thomas Howard, the great-grandfather of Queen Elizabeth 1st. It also says I'm related to Elizabeth 2nd through my dad's side. A lot of this I'm not sure has enough documents attached to them and it all needs to be verified. Obviously... because I was NOT invited to King Charles's Coronation!  😂 When I start working for City Library next week I'm going to ask a genealogist about all of it and best way to confirm things.

In the meantime, it's awesome to find LIVING people I'm related to!
By the way, my middle name is Jean, my mom's middle name is Faye. I went by Mandy Faye when I used to gig a lot in DFW. (Mandyfaye.com)
