By Way of Explanation
        As of yet, I can see no connection to my own family by anyone on this page.  There were three things that first attracted me to these Gwins: the spelling of their last name (same as mine); the fact that they lived in Clarke Co., AL (very close to Dallas Co., AL, where my Gwins were from); and the fact that two of them, Charles and Peter Gwin, lived just down the street from a hotel run by one of my ggg-granduncles, Ezekiel Burdine Wilson.

 I found this Peter Gwin's grave on FindAGrave.com.  Links to many other pages were there as well, most  relating extensively to his military service in the army of the CSA where he earned the rank of sergeant. 
He was born 28 Sep 1832, died 15 Jan 1901 at age 68, and is buried in Mount Gilead Cem. in Clarke Co., AL.

FAG BIO:
            The daughter of Josiah and Nancy McMillion Blackwell, she was first married to George W. Holder, son of Jeremiah and Ann Holder, on 4 May 1846 in Clarke Co., Alabama. They had two children:  Albert J. Holder, 1847-1864, and Matilda Isabell Holder, 1849-1855. 
            George W. Holder died in 1851, and Sarah Ann Blackwell Holder married Peter Gwin on 6 April 1854 in Clarke Co., Alabama.
            Their children were Nancy Elizabeth Gwin, 1857-1864, and two sons, Charles and Robert, who are linked here.
