intermarried
more than once. The Richard Ransom,
said father of Ann (Ransom )
Boswell. I have nothing on than I can see
right now.

According
to my
records Ann Ransom b. 1710 married
John Boswell in 1728.
John died in 1740/41 and left her with six
small children.
In 1742 she married William Gatewood in
Spotsylvania County. To this
union were born three children: Austin,
Ambrose and William Jr.
Ann's parents were Peter and Doroty Horth of
Ware Point in Gloucester.
Ann and William later moved to Amerherst
County, Virginia. She died
around 1785 I think. Hope this may help.

words.

Three of my four
grandparents were family
historians. They spent their vacations
for 40 years tromping
around in old cemeteries, visiting
courthouses, libraries, etc. I
inherited all of their pages of notes.
My mother is still
actively climbing the family tree.
I've been doing family
research for over 35 years -
initially working from their notes and
putting them into Family Tree
Maker, my computer genealogy program.
I'm hoping to verify what
I have and to extend the
family lineage by contacting as many cousins
as I can locate. So
glad to have found you!
