These almost have to be
relatives of KinseyVeatch, Isham Gwin's next-door neighbor in Crowson's
Cove, Sevier Co., TN. |

R. Right |
0000100000000//1001000000000 |
Listed are one male,
20-29, and two females, 0-4 and 15-19. This could easily be the Elijah R. Wright
who married Minerva
Gwin, Isom's and Mary's youngest. If so, this is likely their
first child, a daughter. This matches perfectly with the referenced
family in the 1850 census,
recorded as follows: Minerva,
39, head; and Ruth Ann, 21,
daughter; Elijah, however,
does not appear and is presumed deceased. |

Listed are two males, 5-9
and 60-69, and one female, 10-14. This almost has to be Isham Gwin,
husband of Mary
Canterbury Gwin. But where is Mary? |

Ancestry.com's page
87 ends the portion written by George P. Lynd, Asst. Marshal, who
writes the last name first and lists "Orange County" in the left column
of and signs his name to each page. Ancestry.com's
page 89 begins a portion written by an Asst. Marshal who writes the
first name first, enters nothing in the left column, and has not yet
identified himself. |

M. Gwin |
0001110000000//0002000000000 |
Who is this?! Listed are
three males, 15-19, 20-29, and 30-39, and two females, both 15-19. John
M. must be the third male, possibly 39 YOA, and the four children could
be, say, ages 17, 18, 19, and 20, John perhaps having been widowed at
or after the birth of their fourth or fifth child. |

This ends the second
section, there being several empty lines at the bottom of the page. Ancestry.com's page 123 begins a
third and final section in the very different, perhaps more poorly
trained and somewhat less legible hand of a Mr. Bozarth; still, no
county name appears on the page, and the enumeration finishes at page
136 with no more familiar names appearing either. |
